11.5.4 Changing the Yealink Desktop phone profile
When a Yealink Desktop phone is provisioned with the generic Yealink Desktop profile, SIP encryption is not supported. In order to enable encrypted SIP on these phones, the provisioning profile of the phone needs to be changed into the specific profile of the phone model. See App. B: Devices to verify that encrypted SIP is supported for your Yealink model.
You need to have the permissions to manage CPEs to be able to change the provisioning profile of a phone.
You can see which profile a phone is using by clicking on . The Type column indicates which profile is assigned to the phone.
To change the provisioning profile
Make sure that you select the correct type as some Yealink models have two versions, one for phones with the Dutch (Lydis) firmware and one for phones with the Enreach firmware.
