SwyxConnect on or as direct dialing-in line
In addition to connection to an ISDN multiple connection, SwyxConnect can also be operated on a direct dialing-in line (from PSTN or Master PBX) for larger scenarios. Alternatively, there is also the option of configuring SwyxConnect as a superior system with a direct dialing-in line (for sub-telecommunication systems).
This is how you configure a direct dialing-in line for SwyxConnect
1. Set the relevant ISDN interface correctly on the hardware side:
*on the DDI:
TE mode (with cross connector, if necessary ), no termination required
*as DDI:
NT mode (with cross connector, if necessary ), switch on bus termination
2. Switch off power feeding and lifeline support in any case for these interfaces.
3. The corresponding protocol must be selected for the relevant ISDN interface under "Interfaces | WAN | Interface settings":
*on the DDI:
DSS1 TE Point to Point
*as DDI
DSS1 NT Point to Point
4. For the direct dialing in numbers, the number mapping needs to be set correctly. You can use the same number mapping on several interfaces which have the same settings. In this way, you can combine several ISDN interfaces to represent a common DDI (collective DDI).
The PSTN-supplied number (placeholder #) can still be manipulated under "VoIP Call Manager | Lines | ISDN Mapping".
Example:
An incoming number 1234 (MSN/DDI: #) is converted into 5551234 (internal number (555#).

This direct dialing-in line exists in this form only in Germany, and is a combination of the ISDN features "Point-to-Point" and "DDI" (Direct Dial In). Other combinations are also offered in other countries, e.g. in Austria the "multiple connection with direct dialing-in".
