8.10 Call notification and Pickup
In the case of a signalled call, you will be shown that another user or a group has received a call. Signalling is set up by the administrator. You can pick up a signalled call.
A call is signalled as follows:
*A call symbol with a Call notification popup will appear in the Windows task-bar, containing the number and the name of the caller. (You can also deactivate the call notification in the task-bar in the user settings). See also 8.10.1 Configuration of Call notification.
*If you have set a Speed Dial with the called subscriber, the symbol will blink.
*If the call is not picked up by the subscriber originally called, you will hear a beep after 10 seconds.
 
To pick up a signalled call
To pick up the call,
1 Click on the SwyxIt! user interface on Pick up Call.
Or
1 double-click on the call symbol in the tray (task-bar).
Or
1 lift the handset.
2 Click on the Pick Up button or on the Speed Dial.
*The speakers and the microphone are cleared or the SwyxIt! Handset or the SwyxIt! Headset is activated so that you can speak with the caller.
To pick up a phone call if you are currently involved in a different phone call
1 Click on Pick up Call or on the Speed Dial on the SwyxIt! user interface.
Or
1 Select a second line (Call Swap) and then click on the Pick Up button.
Or
1 Double-click on the call symbol in the tray (task-bar).
*The previously active connection is put on hold, the subscriber hears music on hold, and the incoming call is picked up.
