9 Starting and receiving phone calls
In this chapter you will find detailed descriptions of the Enreach Contact Desktop telephony functions.
Enreach Contact Desktop has a softphone that allows you to receive and initiate calls via the desktop and to use various call control options. The basic scenarios are explained below.

Calls are managed via the softphone. If you are logged on to an alternative terminal, a window opens when a call is received on one of the additionally connected terminals. The call can be diverted, forwarded or terminated. You can change your device without interrupting the call.
 
With Enreach Contact Desktop you can start calls from your Contacts list, your Recent list or from a chat.
To start a call from the contact list 
You can immediately place a call with a contact from your contact list.
1 Click on .
*The contact list opens.
2 Click on the contact you would like to call.
*The contact is called.
3 Click on .
*The call is automatically established within 3 seconds.
4 You can switch through the list within 3 seconds to change the device for the call. Confirm your selection with Dial.
*The call is carried out.
To start a call from the Recent list 
You can start a call from your Recent list with a contact with whom you have previously made a call.
1 Click on .
*The Recent list opens.
2 Click on the contact you would like to call.
*The contact overview is displayed.
3 Click on .
*The call is automatically established within 3 seconds.
4 You can switch through the list within 3 seconds to change the device for the call. Confirm your selection with Dial.
*The call is carried out.
To dial a phone number 
You can access the dialer in the Contacts and Recent area to dial a telephone number.
1 Click on or on .
2 Click on .
*The input field opens.
3 Enter the desired phone number using your keyboard.
4 Press Enter or click .
*The call is automatically established within 3 seconds.
5 You can switch through the list within 3 seconds to change the device for the call. Confirm your selection with Dial.
*The call is carried out.
