12.3 DECT telephones
You can connect SwyxPhones of the DECT 800 series in your local network with SwyxServer/NetPhone.
There are two different variants for the provision and activation of DECT 800 systems:
Provisioning in Swyx Control Center via DCF for DECT
(Available from SwyxWare/NetPhone 13.00)
This variant is described in this chapter. It is simpler, takes less time and also offers the following DCF for DECT functionality:
*Access to the global phone book
*Simple switching of the CTI+ mode
*Call pick-up
*Synchronization with the SwyxWare user account:
- Call journal
- Speed dial buttons
*
If you use or want to use your DECT system in combination with "Unite", you must configure the DECT system conventionally and do without the DCF-based functions.

*
The following functions are currently not available within the DCF provision, but can be configured manually via the administration web interface of the base station:
- Provisioning of IP DECT gateways,
- Set up more than one synch region,
- Connection of base stations from other subnets, see 12.3.1.6 Configure subnet base stations (optional)

Conventional configuration (without DCF) of all individual DECT components
You must select this variant if you absolutely want to use the following functions:
*Support for the mirror function
*A hybrid scenario with activated extensions or "Unite" functionality.

Detailed documentation on conventional configuration can be found at:
