12.1.10 Provisioning of AX8xx WLAN handsets
 
This chapter only applies to the WLAN telephones in the "Yealink AX8xx".
 
To provision the AX8xx handsets, all you need to do is connect the devices to the WLAN network.
Once a handset has been successfully connected to the WLAN, the same WLAN configuration can be transferred to several other devices using batch deployment.
Further information on WLAN configuration can be found in the manufacturer's documentation.
To connect a handset to your WLAN network
1 Create the objects for all WLAN handsets in the Swyx Control Center, see 12.1.3 Creating Desk Phones.
2 Switch on a selected Yealink AX8xx handset.
3 Call up the main menu by pressing the enter button in the middle of the navigation buttons.
4 Open the WLAN menu by selecting .
5 Under Wi-Fi, use the navigation buttons to select On.
6 Under Wi-Fi Network, select the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect the handset.
7 Enter the password and press the Enter key.
*The handset now connects to the selected WLAN network and starts provisioning.
To add several additional handsets to the WLAN network automatically
You have connected a handset that you selected to use for batch deployment to WLAN.
1 Call up the main menu by pressing the enter button in the middle of the navigation buttons.
2 Open the WLAN menu by selecting .
3 Select Batch deployment in the WLAN menu.
4 Under Hotspot, use the navigation buttons to select the Enabled option.
5 Confirm with Apply.
*All other handsets within range automatically search for the sent WLAN configuration, connect to WLAN and start provisioning.
 
If the batch deployment mode is activated, you cannot use the transmitter headset for calls. To use the device for making calls again afterwards, deactivate batch deployment and select On under Wi-Fi.
 
 
If a receiver handset does not automatically recognize the WLAN configuration currently being sent, the affected user can search for it in the menu under Wi-Fi | Quick Wi-Fi Connection.
