Swyx users can be managed in Windows User Management. There you can
*When creating a new Windows domain user (Active Directory Users and Computers), create an associated Swyx user directly and assign basic Swyx parameters to that user, such as name and phone number
*assign corresponding Swyx users to the existing Windows users
*chhange basic Swyx parameters in Windows User Management
*when deleting a Windows user account, directly remove the associated Swyx user
You will find details on the use of the Active Directory extension in 11.6 Configure users in the Windows user administration.
Installation of the Active Directory extension
The Active Directory extension must be registered in the Windows user administration. To do this, launch the Swyx Configuration Wizards (see 5.4.2 Configuring Swyx), or use the IpPbxAdExtConfig.exe program in the Swyx program directory to perform the registration in Active Directory. To display the corresponding Swyx interface in Active Directory, install the "AD Integration" module from Swyx Administration on the computer from which you access Active Directory user management.
Removal of the Active Directory extension
When Swyx is uninstalled, the Active Directory extension's registration is not removed from Active Directory. You can remove the extension using IpPbxAdExtConfig.exe, which you can find on the Swyx DVD under "Tools\AD Extension." To do this, start a command line with domain administrator rights and enter
IpPbxAdExtConfig /u
Parameter /v is used to display the current status of registration, and /r to register the extension again.
