Configuration of the standby master SwyxDECT 800
Use of a standby master SwyxDECT 800 base station is optional. However, we recommend setting up a standby master SwyxDECT 800. This ensures the correct functioning of the system in case of a master base station failure.
This is how you configure the standby master SwyxDECT 800
1. Define the address of the SwyxDECT 800 and gain access to SwyxDECT 800 via the web interface (see Starting the SwyxDECT 800).
2. Change the standard password (For further information please refer to 'General | Admin' page.).
3. Set a static IP address and the DHCP option to "disabled" (see This is how you define the static IP address).
4. Enter the user name and the password for the system. The inputs should be the same as the user name and password of the master SwyxDECT 800 (see 'DECT | System' page).
5. Define the Codecs and the packet size (see Codecs and the packet size).
6. Set the mode of the standby master SwyxDECT 800 to "Standby" (see A base station can work in various states (mode):).
7. Enter the IP address of the SwyxServer .
8. Enter the master IP address (see 'DECT | Radio' page).
9. Configure the air synchronization. (see 'DECT | Air Sync' page).
10. Configure the LDAP replicator and enter the IP address, the user name and the password of the LDAP server and the alternative LDAP server (see How to configure an LDAP replicator in the standby master base stations).
11. Under 'Reset', please start the base station again, so that the effect of the configuration changes can be seen.
